Many associations focus on delivery of professional development as a key offering to members and non-members in any given industry. Through an association, professionals have access to curated professional development that supports development of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

During the pandemic, many associations were faced with new challenges to re-imagine professional development delivery - moving to virtual or hybrid modalities. This challenge highlighted the need for keeping up to date with skills and emerging technology. Those who were already using virtual platforms to support some professional development delivery had a head start on transitioning to all virtual delivery. Now that the pandemic is in the rearview mirror (hopefully), it is important that we don’t become complacent, lifelong learning is critical for future success. Technology is continually advancing and will continue to transform industries, job skills, and knowledge management.
